If you make a trade with someone, how long do you wait to tell the person that the forms you traded for haven't gotten to you yet? I think it's been eight days since this one trade was sent out to me, which isn't the longest I've ever waited for forms to get here, so it's not like I'm extremely worried. It did get me to wondering, though, what the general consensus is for this. I do think that the longest any have taken to get here was 13 days. I think I remember someone posting a little while back something about expecting the mail to be slow in the coming months, although I think I skimmed through the post without it sinking in as to the specifics of it. I'm sure it's not the fault of the trader, as I've bought forms from this person before many times and have never had a problem.

Also, IF the forms never get to you and you email the person telling him/her about it, does that person then replace the forms? I don't see how that's always possible, though, because the forms that were being advertised might have mostly all gone to other people and they can't be replaced unless the form hunter would happen to find forms for the exact same offers that he/she had posted about. So I think it might be pretty hard for the person to come up with the exact forms to replace the others that never showed up at the buyer's place. In that case, is the money reimbursed or is the buyer ts out of luck? I think I asked someone about this one time and the person selling the forms said something like once the forms leave her/his place, she/he considers that end of the deal to be done, completed, that nothing is owed on their end even if the forms would get lost in the mail. So as I see it, then the buyer gets screwed. On the other hand, if a buyer's check or mo, or cc gets lost in the mail, does that person send a second payment for the forms that they paid for but the seller never received? No matter what, as I see it, one of the traders is going to be left with the short end of the stick. I'm wondering if there even really is a fair way of dealing with the problem of one of the traders not receiving what's expected.

1 . "Forms not received"

Sometime this does happen that it takes 10 or more days to receive. Snow storms, floods, holidays. And now the post office has combined mail routes to supposedly save them money???? and take several extra days

Like all products ordered from any person or company the one sending out the order will be the one to replace. It isnt really fair to ones that work so hard to find forms and have to write out and send the stamped envelopes.

What I like to do if one I order never arrives and cost is replaced: send an extra C/D I have to them, to help the one sending out forms to regain the loss---or maybe send them extra forms you may have as a gift.

With the mail problems lately I would wait two weeks. Of course if the forms were short dated that's
not always possible.
For example I just had a trade take 33 days for a check to reach me. The trader resent the check but in
the meantime the 1st check arrived... 33 day late! The 2nd check got here in 3 days.
I will always replace the forms or send a new trade. I also prefer a check so $$ isn't lost in the mail.
I am just losing forms and I have been on the other end where I lost considerable $$ and he wouldn't
take checks.

ALL Trades Are CHECK or Cash + Postage
**Sorry I DO NOT HAVE Pay Pal
Appreciate Feedback :o)

I will hold trades 24 hours only!

to email the seller and make sure the trade went out

If I never receive a trade, I expect the seller to replace it or give me my money back, just like Amazon

if it is one of my regular traders, we may go 50/50

I also keep a list of who has trades that "ghost" and I will not trade with them again. I also will not trade again with people whose forms smell like an ashtray. There is one guy on here, his trade smells so bad you can smell it before you even open the envelope

This envelope of forms was jammed in a postal sorting machine. Please be careful when trading forms or upcs to lay them flat in your envelopes!!!!

Trade took 21 days to arrive damaged.

Now with the postal service slowing down delivery, you may need to take on another day or 2.

withe the same people repeatedly and knowign them to be honest. I rec'd an env that was not sealed and was empty..... I offered to returnm the env to the tradeer so she coudl see it had never been sealed. She said to not bother... she reimbursed the pp. Then she foudn more forms and sent again and I etn payment. so the first batch of forsm (jsut aobut 4 forms I think) was totaqlly lost in mail. In the past I recall beign told I would get credit for that trade to use inthe future---- on my next form pruchase--- if an env never arrived.

It's a big help! I really enjoyed reading all of your comments. I thought every one of you had good ideas! I figured it would because I've traded with this person before and trust the trader implicitly. It's my belief that, of course, there could be those oddball cheaters out there who make it their goal in life (it seems so to me anyway...I'm talking about not only on RS but pretty much everywhere you go) to rip off people so they can have an easy payday. It's a major pet peeve of mine, these people who feel that they can get away with that stuff, like they have some right to take from others what they (the ripper-offers) don't deserve.

I was basically posting this thread to see if not getting forms has happened to other people and what they do about it then. I honestly felt that the trader sent the envelope out to me, but I hadn't been sure what to do in the case of it actually happening (not receiving from someone even though you deep down know that he/she sent it out because of knowing the person from previous trades and trusting that person). Overall, I sincerely think the people on RS are very trustworthy and I wouldn't hesitate to trade with most of them.

Here's the good news.... I RECEIVED THE TRADE!!! I figured chances are, it would get here but I just wasn't sure when. Well, really, do any one of us ever know how long a trade will take to get to you, whether it's on the buyer's end or the seller's end?! With the post office these days, I guess it's pretty much a crap shoot.

Many thanks for all your replies and sorry I'm too "strung out" (no, not the drugs kind) to take the time to answer everyone individually. Hubby and I were outside today doing a mad-dash cleanup of the garden, yard, etc. and it's going to be a repeat tomorrow. It seems like we still have umpteen million things to get done. Tomorrow we have to get plastic put on our windows for winterization...we live in PA, enough said!

Oh, and also, thanks to everyone who trades with me. I don't post here much but try to check here at least every other day because our area has always seemed to be void of forms, and I know that some people here get really great forms. You'd waste a terrible amount of money on gas driving around here to try to get forms. Forms in central PA....nada!
