they were? I heard the FL cl house-- which I think now goes to tempe, az stopped payment on checks that had already been depositted. Consequently, the bank deducted the amount of the check plus a bouncing fee. They sent the person a copy of the message fromthe bank and cl house--- stop payment. I amreferrignto those offers that used to be 2 per addr and you had to send a sase. I had not heard this about del rio.

runs out, they stop paying. First they come up with random excuses that may or may not even apply to you. I did not think they would issue a check once the money runs out.... My guess is that whent hey've paid on more requests than they expected to, they start rejecting in case they run out... A lot of people will not bother or remember to follow up on a rejection so that eliminates a bunch off the bat. I once did a high value refund and didnt' really think they'd pay. They did not and I kept followign up. Finally they said they were paying and the site showed the check havign been maile dout but it never came. I think this is their last resort effort to get out of paying because maybe they had no money set aside at all? Then if you keep followign up, they wille ventually say this offer is over now and we can't do anything for you...

I called about these not being received and I still have one from last May--- I am told that they cant pay out the rebates until they have the funds from Jagermeister to pay.

They have to hold up paying from the companies until the funds are available. They are even slower since covid. The rebate that bounced was not done intentionally--someone miscalculated this with so many working out of their houses now.

That is the law, however, only if you want to press the issue. You can email your state AD office to complain, but will they do anything that is another question

confused....
Did the company have insufficient funds and the checks bounced after having been deposited?
Or did the co. decide not to pay and they issued a "stop payment" order after the check was deposited

I encountered an insufficient funds situation maybe 30 yrs ago with Kahlua
I was told by a trader that she had the 2nd situation happen to her a couple of yrs ago...

Are others getting bounced checks?
Pre217 stands for Prestige wines? The mezzacorona people?

If soempeople deposited these without an issue adn at least one person had them bounce----
Then---- it would be good to know up to what date checks were issued and those checks cleared the bank
Then- what date did they start issuign checks that bounced
If you got a check that cleared, pls lmk (directly if you prefer-- I seem to get more emails and info that way)-- what date the check was issed or sent to you-- this info is shown at inmar
If you got a check that bounced, pls lmk (by checkign inmar) what date they issued/sent it to you...
Presumaby this will show whent hey ran out of money and started saying insufficient funds

Here's more info on the Mezzacorona bounced checks. I have three of the $40 ones so I called the South Metro Credit Union (which is listed on the check) and gave them the routing number (lower left corner). The person I spoke with said this is a fraudulent routing number. The number on my checks is 091981811. Well, this is the pits! I'm calling Inmar.

Many, many years ago. I had a check bounce. I immediately got in touch with THE WINE COMPANY, NOT THE CLEARINGHOUSE. I really don't give a poop what the clearinghouse ever has to say. The wine company immediately made everything right. I started out on Facebook so the whole world knew what was going on

So did you call or email the wine company?

I was paid on both those offers without issues

the date the check was issued. I heard fromsome peopel who had checks issued in March and April and those checks cleared...
But a Mezzacorona $12 check was issued (see op) on 4/27 and it never cleared because it bounced due to insufficient funds.

The impt thing to find out would be whether Mezzacorona and pbi checks continued to bounce after 4/27. That might have been when funds became insufficient and that might affect all checks issued on that date and after that date....

So--- did anyone get a Mezza check or a Cavit check in early or mid May that cleared? Or that bounced? The ones that cleared earlier are interesting but not relevant to the fact that the cl housemay have later run out of funds...
