Might want to make sure you double check your payment option when sending PayPal now. I've always had my selection set to NO-fee "Friends/Family" but it seems that PP has found a sneaky way to get fees out of you if you're not careful. Now when you go to make a payment, PP has it automatically set up for "Items/Service" so if you don't click the "Change" button yourself to change it to "Trusted Friend", a fee will be taken out! I don't know when it was changed, probably w/PP's recent updates, but I don't recall seeing anything in their update notice about that sneaky change. How convenient for them to leave that part out! 😠
And IF you accidentally send the PP w/out changing it to "Trusted Friend", do NOT ask/have the recipient to refund your PP as they will then be charged a fee for returning it! :(
