Many office supply stores and other stores are currently having really good deals on School supplies starting at one penny. Perhaps someone can gather these and ship (or get help with postage to ship) to Shirley.
Or maybe someone has school supplies lying around that they can donate. Also, if anyone has a Meijers nearby, now through September, if you buy $10 worth of Kelloggs, Keebler, etc,( not only can you get a $10 rebate through Kellogs Fuel for School)

For the school clothes, at oldnavyweekly.com at different times,
they have coupons IF you can find them for up to $75 off $100. Perhaps if someone is lucky enough to score a high value coupon they can donate it to Shirley.
And in mid August a lot of stores have super great clearance deals.
Also, don't forget about consignment shops. You can take in your children's clothing that no longer
fits and either get cash or store credit. Don't forget about your local Salvation army stores as well.
I went to one by me last weekend and got my grandsons some clothing and I found some great
clothing with tags still on them for $1 apiece.
