My first such auction so suggestions appreciated.

Auction - Ends Monday Dec 16th at 9 P.M. Eastern Time

All that you bid (except for the postage) will go to our American Cancer Society where I have a team in 2020 Relay for Life. We have $899.95 since last September (some is straight donations. Most coupon money comes from a few generous people who take assorted coupons every week.)
Winner pays Priority Mail postage Med. Flat rate box
If you want to see any of the items or graphics ideas for labels, PM me and I will send pic in Email
I may cancel auction if no interest, or extend if lots of interest

I will start with these items:

> (1) New in box Liz Claiborne Zip Around Wallet – Black soft alligator-look leather (I am sure it is NOT real alligator – that is illegal now). Has heart shaped addition on front where photo can be inserted. Inside has a zipper pouch for bills, a slot for ID and 6 slots for credit cards or other ID.

In 1910, my great-grandmother had less than a 25% chance of surviving cancer.
By 1955, my grandmother had a 1 in 3 chance of surviving five years after a diagnosis.
My mom’s chances increased to almost 50% in the 1970s,
My generation has nearly a 67% chance of surviving cancer, five years after diagnosis.

In the 1950s ACS research helped to inform doctors and women of the benefit of Pap tests.
In 1954, ACS helped to fund research that identified smoking as a major factor in the development of lung cancer.
In the 1970s, generous supporters like you helped our ACS discover the aromatase enzyme, which synthesizes estrogens.
In the 1990s our FDA approved the first aromatase inhibitor to treat breast cancer in postmenopausal women.

It is clear that there has been powerful progress in the fight against cancer, but we’re not resting until future generations can live 100% free from cancer. And we know you won’t either.

Finding Answers Starts With the research that our ACS has done - every step forward, every tiny victory, every breakthrough –
It’s all been because of support from people like you.

The growth in our knowledge of cancer biology has led to remarkable progress in cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment. Scientists have learned more about cancer in the last 2 decades than had been learned in all the centuries preceding.

Some who donated to ACS have added your mark on the timeline with your contributions - Supporting life-changing research and programs. It is work like this that will change the future of cancer survival, and improving tomorrow’s cancer survival rates.

ACS will not stop adding to timeline of breakthroughs until the world is free from cancer, - I hope that you won’t either.

I do better here where I live - Gave Making Strides Against Breast Cancer more than $4,000. in October from auctions and a luncheon I had here. Last year gave more than $5,000 to Relay for Life here (for ALL Cancers) - I HOPE that people here are benefiting from what I do to try to help.

Fantastic Julie - Looks like ACS research is helping lots of people. THAT is what I try to help them. I am NOT a cancer survivor but I volunteer for ACS to try to help more people like you and Sharon (grupmy57) and PREVENT cancer in others - ourselves and our offspring in the future w. more research.

THAT is what I HOPE to do when I move coupons and hold auctions here on RS.


So let's get some more bids for ACS - I have MORE nice things to add to auction before it ends tomorrow night.
