My story is about 6 weeks my 31 year old son got Covid. He was in the hospital for a while and almost vented. I was a mess I couldn't go see him and he was too sick to call us. I talked to the nurse everyday. He is so much better thank God now back to work but still gets out of breath. I decided to get my vaccine and I thought I was having after effects but no I had covid. I ended up in the hospital with double pneumonia. I am home on oxygen 24/7. I have what the dr called the covid storm. Every molecule in my body was affected by it. I no longer have it but it hurt my body so bad. I have no strength and I am bedridden. I cant do my rebates because I have Covd fog. Please don't forget me. She said it could be 4 months or longer. This bedridden stuff is so hard. I cant even get to the kitchen. If you would pray for me I appreciate it. I am only 52 and I'm scared for my future. Thank you so much.

My husband had symptoms and Covid fog for months. The doctors all refused to treat him or even acknowledge that Covid fog actually existed. He saw at least 8 doctors from neurologists to rheumatologists to infectious disease doctors. Noone treated him. It was so bad that he had to take early retirement. Finally, one doctor said that Covid fog and other symptons were real and though there was no treatment she said a healthy routine and time would help. It has now been almost a year and he is finally back to feeling they way before he had this. And...enjoying being retired.
I am sure I had it too -- same time as my husband since I had some of the same symptoms but most were mild and I never had to aftereffects that he had. I'm so scared to go for the vaccine. We should now both be immune anyway and putting that virus in my body even if there is a low risk is not something I want to take. I may change my mind if forced too.
Rest and take care of yourself. I'm sure time will help you feel better. Sorry you are going through this.

I Jane a great dr. She saved my lie by sending me for a ct scan even though I've still never coughed. Body aches have been horrible. It's all from covid. A year makes me scared but as long as I get off this oxygen and better. I have to think so hard to remember what I'm going to say and why I have my phone in my hand. She said time. It's no fun being bedridden. Home health starts this week. I had to buy a shower chair. It's been a nightmare. My husband had it but not as bad as me. The dr said i could have gotten more covid molecules. I had no idea thats why some people get sicker than others no matter their age.

and I hope your doctor and your son's doctor gave you blood transfusions and Regeneron. Your red blood cells have trouble carrying oxygen and need the extra help of a transfusion or two.
I wonder if Coronavirus fog is the same as Chemo fog - I remember just being "stupid" for the last 6 months I was on Chemo and maybe for another 6 months afterward.
Take high doses of Zinc, Vitamin C and drink tons of good protein drinks (not junk like Ensure - read your bottles - hospitals give you Ensure because the Ensure company supplies it for free) - it will help for a faster recover. As soon as you can, spend as much time as you can up and about, even if all you do is walk in circles around the bed. I remember when I was exhausted from the Chemo and 3 surgeries in one year, my goal was to walk the length of one house!!

I'm sure the fog is the same way. It affects the molecules in your body. I know chemo is rough. I dont think it's as bad chemo. I'm so lethargic and weak I can hardly hold my phone today. The latest medical journals are talking about the strength of antibodies. Antibodies are stronger if you had the disease and weaker if you got your antibodies from the shot.
If you had the disease and THEN got the shot, it disturbs the stronger antibodies you had from the disease and you end up with the weaker ones
Amazing, it is almost 2 years now, and they still are speculating about this flu and how to treat it
