thank you for the offer, however I have been doing genealogy for over 30 years and have taught genealogy classes. I am one of the first contriberter to many genealogy sites. Years ago I started Genealogy because my great grandmother wanted me to find my family. She was in a nursing home, I told her yes and she told me many names. At the time I did not write the names down, but now I wish I did. I did find most of my family and information about them. The farther I went back the more interesting it got. Today I have gone back to 1500's on my family and found out thing that I am sure my family would not want others to know. Genealogy is a large jigsaw puzzle, you find 1 piece and then you want to find another piece.
One day I walked into a library to get a newspaper and found that my dads sister was working there. Another time I got a email asking me if I new information on a lady, only to find out that the lady the person was looking for was my fathers twin sister. The woman had no idea that the woman she was looking for had a twin or even a brother.
I also found out that my great great great grandfather was in Columbus penn. for being married to 2 wives at he the same time. He spent 2 years in the penn. I also found 2 family members beheaded in a car accident.
I think the best thing is walking up to a person and finding out you are related.
Yes Genealogy is fun, interesting and you get to find out things about your family that they may of hidden in the closet and did not want anyone to know.
