10 0|0|New Target B1G1F coupon policy|Meezer_Mom|cheznishilia@hotmail.com|12:51:40|08/13/2018|

I went shopping Friday night and was puzzled why I was prohibited from using a manufacturer's coupon for $6 off when buying Clairol on sale B2G1F. I was told it was a new policy that came down from corporate a couple weeks ago.

It sounded off, or at least the way the store manager explained it, so I called corporate for clarification this morning.

Corporate said Cartwheel discounts CAN still be stacked with manufacturer's coupons, HOWEVER, if the Cartwheel OR store promotion is a B1G1F (or similar where one is free), then NO additional coupon may be used to further discount. B1G1F, etc., is the key word here.

Sue

Target said they do not accept free coupons from companies anymore. So I have to find a place to redeem it. Leahmay 2|2|Target coupons|2597grandma|hbs4470@optonline.net|08:51:43|08/20/2018|

Question is why??? That seems kind of dumb to me. You are in store shopping(spending money) and have a free coupon and now you have to go to another store to get the item for free. Might as well just shop in the other store. 4|3|Too much coupon fraud|Tiggy|DealzMartin@aol.com|18:47:12|08/21/2018|

NAPLES, Florida-Pink Collar Crimes (CBS) recently aired an hour-long episode titled “The Queen of Coupons” focused on the Phoenix Police Department’s successful counterfeit coupon criminal investigation of Robin Ramirez and her co-conspirators Amiko Fountain and Marilyn Johnson. The episode can be viewed at: https://tinyurl.com/y7wjzcjx

CIC greatly appreciates the show’s efforts to present these complex economic crimes in an understandable manner and to raise awareness of these issues for the public.

Consumers can easily protect themselves from counterfeit coupons by doing the following:
1. Never pay money for coupons, including group membership fees
2. Never download counterfeit coupons, known as AIPS, from social media sites
3. Avoid coupons that seem to be “too good to be true”

Consumers can obtain legitimate coupons directly from the manufacturers’ websites or manufacturer authorized coupon distributors.

The CIC is continuing its efforts to work with law enforcement, manufacturers, retailers, and other industry members to bring counterfeiters to justice.

Free information about counterfeiting and other types of coupon fraud can be found on the CIC’s website: www.couponinformationcenter.com.
6|4|Oh Bud. You must be feeling a new rise having been on Tv nodding your head. Good for you! First. Counterfeit couponers deserve jail. Clearly illegal behavior. Bravo for the AZ PD. Next. That has NOTHING to do with the sale of legally obtained coupons being sold. (Which is not illegal.). No matter how many years you post and hang around attempting to scare us, you cannot cite law or statute that states that coupons or anything else lawfully owned can’t be bought and sold. Manufacturer dislike doesn’t make law. Get the counterfeiters. Go get all those altering printables. Scanning and reprinting insert or printable coupons? Get them! Leave people not breaking law alone. @@ )|Chicagoclipper|Barb.erradi@aol.com|18:00:43|09/04/2018|

Their having a B2G1F sale should not determine whether I can use a published coupon on it.
