we were gone and when came home had no idea what had happen a friend called right away and he was in wi and said he heard we said no all ok here
about a 1/2 hour later we were gonna head out and the town was full of cops, fire trucks, mid American, we could not even get out of town
found out it hit the north side of town and we live on south side
guess it happened about 25 minutes before we got home that day good thing we were running late for heading back home
all is well here with us
lots of house and trees and property destroyed

I can't imagine the fear everyone felt on the north end so I'm glad you weren't home, but I hope everyone is ok on the north end too! I love storms but not the damage they can do, & a tornado is a bit different than a t-storm. Especially if there are 3 tornadoes! Yikes!
We rarely have to worry about tornadoes in my neck of the woods but we haven't even had any severe storms run thru this summer, which is kind of odd yet good. We usually get some around Father's Day, give or take a week. Maybe the crazy ice storm w/wind we had earlier this spring made up for it. Suits me fine altho I sleep so good during a t-storm. LOL Now, if only this icky muggy air would let up.......

and she said she did not even feel a thing no wind or anything
just a little rain u would think u would of noticed something but all of south side
did not know a thing at the time
sirens went off when it was over that is how fast the storm popped up
and all 3 towns and no one seriously hurt that is truly a blessing for all the damage done

But the weather has been so weird the last couple yrs., & I know tornadoes can be so unpredictable all by themselves where they seem to be able to drop out of no where. Strange tho how much different & unnoticeable it can be just on the other side of town.
