I had several messages asking where I have been so here is the scoop:
i took a much needed break for many years. My mom had several strokes over the course of 6 years. My siblings made a commitment to keeping her in the home. She deserved that for being a great mom, grandmother, and super loving person. She was always on the go and very active in the community. It was hard to see her decline over the years. I was traveling long distances to keep my commitment every week (we all had days of the week - lesson learned to have a lot of kids. LOL). I greatly enjoyed my time with her and would not trade it for anything. I was able to get her out of the house every week. We took many day trips together, family parties, and adventures. Sadly, she past away in November. I am with peace with this. She was ready to go.
During all of this I was working full time and volunteering at a local food pantry 2 days a week. My husbands job transferred to another state (farewell PA = such sadness as I am a PA girl at heart and always will be). Moved to the state we are in now. I took over a food pantry here and it is a full time job on a larger scale than before. I love doing this! Coupons and sales provide many goodies we would never see come through the door. Came back to RS because of the pantry.
Looks like a "oldie" reunion as the people from years ago have popped back on through the last few months. Fun group that helped each other.
Looking forward to meeting some newbies and regulars. Sharing and helping each other out.

I am so sorry to hear about your mom...my mom passed away in July (at age 92), so I know the loss is still fresh with you as it is with me.
I'm glad I don't have to hunt my own

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. She sounds like she was a wonderful woman who was & still is greatly loved by her family & who greatly loved you all in return. And she left you all wonderful memories to give you comfort. (((HUGS))) to you!
I'm so happy to see so many "oldies" have returned as I missed you all so much. It's awesome to be back w/you all again. :)
