We have a shiny new RAOK board!! YAY!! Thank you!!!
Now, what do we do with it?
Some feel just straight RAOK, gifts. Hey, I cleaned off my desk and I have "this" who wants it? or number #8 gets my RAOK....
Some feel that the PIF/PIB posts should go in there too.
I feel that the board belongs to us all and we should vote! I also think maybe due to the length of the PIF and PIB they SHOULD stay in the swaps board to keep the RAOK more visible and not weighed down by long threads which almost all swap threads are...so that works.
BUT, I am happy to do whatever the majority wants. PLEASE vote!!!

I think the PIF and PIB should remain in the swaps forum just as is and as Gloria has them and leave her raok where it has always been...in swaps.
The new RAOK/straight gifts should go in the RAOK forum because well, they are RAOK's after all.

Like just state what you want RAOK to be and how they work. Like if someone wants to do something other then just envelopes. It was explained to me as just a small envelope of small things. I have gotten note cards, tea, bookmarks, stamps, box tops. Just little goodies. Most not taking more then two stamps. Ship within a few days. Let people know you get them. The PIF, PIB and never ending RAOK should stay on their home board in the Swap Forum. Those are partly what keeps the Swap Forum active and vital. If Member A needs 3 c/o's for cereal and she posts ISO on the RAOK forum, while Member B may provide them to her, Member B is now on the hook for .50 postage. Granted, it's voluntary, but we have traditionally posted these on their respective coupon and refund forums with at least a nominal, and respectful, offer to pay postage. If Member B decides to overlook the postage, at least it was offered. But Member B may very well have a heart bigger than her wallet.
Moreover, we have several members who offer their c/o's for nominal amounts. They too are trying to make their ends meet.
Everyone loves a freebie but that doesn't mean taking advantage of a fellow member or disrupting their exchange.
If you really are in dire straights, and have nary a stamp to offer in trade, reach out to someone you trust. We can run a fundraising auction to help you out. There's no shame in asking for help.

We thought it meant that someone is offering coupons (or some other item) at no charge. Yes that is correct.
Does the sender require the receiver the postage? If so then good.
If someone can offer a totally free RAOK, just wondered why Jane Doe could not ask for a RAOK on a coupon or two.

Someone may be cleaning off their desk and have some short-dated c/o's they won't be using or selling. Offering them as a potluck RAOK, postage-paid may help another. One last chance before the recycling bin.
Someone posting for a RAOK ISO specific coupons expecting to get them free, postage paid, when other members are selling them is a form of trying to undercut the sellers.
If someone is ISO something larger, it should go on Bargains board, and let people deal.
