My bushes do not get flowers Do you trim them back in the fall or early spring Seems they bud in spring and then we get a freeze and done again I have not had flowers in years. I have several but they are close to the house and the frost doesn't seem to bother them I don't think you are suppose to prune them,I also wait till after frost danger is over to cut the old dried flowers off, I remember my aunt had a bush that never bloomed do you have more then 1 maybe you need 2 or more to pollinate just a thought also try googling it, it know everything lol

I grew up next door and then we move in here in 2005. I have cut mine completey down, 3 times, to where they were only a foot high.
They grew back so THICK!

Now I only trim/cut the old dried flowers off and during the winter we put pine needles or leaves all around them to protect them from winter.

We had another one and gave it to my best friend and when she planted it in her yard it came up PINK but mine are BLUE/PURPLE. It depends on the
type of soil you have that gives it their color.
