One of the reasons I refund is to help animals in need through various organizations. The two that I give to most is Second Chance Rescue in NYC and Rescue Dogs Rock NYC although there are many others as well. It seems as of late that I am getting emails every couple of days asking for donations to help with horrific cases of abuse. Being the animal lover that I am, I always send money, more of course when I am able to. My heart aches and I cry sometimes uncontrollably as I read their stories and see the pictures of the abuse. Most times the abusers are not caught....only to offend over and over again.
I have two Rescue pit bulls of my own, and my son rescued a dog from SCR a few years back. I wish I could Rescue them all. I cringe when I drive past a Pet store with a big sign that reads "Puppies".... SCR posts on FB a list of dogs with their pictures of who will be euthanized the next day at noon..... I cry every time I see it.
I just receieved another urgent plea for donations from SCR for a puppy found in a duffel bag left to die. He is paralyzed most likely due to blunt force trauma to his spine. It never ends. How can you help?? Please don't shop, adopt. Also please spay/neuter your pets. This can be costly, but most areas have a clinic or mobile vehicle that will provide thes services at a discounted rate.

Liz and my friend Sandy and others that care so deeply about these animals. You guys DO make a difference!!! And you inspire others to do the same. We adopted our little cheagle, Peanut from the SPCA 3 years ago. He obviously has been abused because he has so many fears and issues and he never ever barks or plays with a toy of any kind. Sad but we love him to pieces. Thank you for posting from your heart and God Bless all those animals out there who need help.

>Posted on May-22-17 at 02:21 PM (Eastern) Debbie I read your entire post......I feel exactly the same way.......adopt from a rescue there are so many unwanted or abused or neglected...and homeless dogs and cats waiting for a forever home...I always said If I won the lottery I know one of the first items on my bucket list would be to purchase a huge piece of land and hire as many caring people as I could and offer a forever home to all the homeless.....neglected....abused.....unwanted....or old age and young as well dogs and cats and goats and birds and goats and horses....you name it.......for they alone especially dogs however I personally know in my heart all animals are capable of love.....they breathe and bleed just like us....have the true compassion for love ....I always believe all they want from us is a bit of water a bit of food a bit of love and in return we will receive the most undying pure unconditional love like no other....They alone love us more then themselves.....anyone whom can harm or abuse a animal has no heart inside their body.......I also wish to do the same for people and children and babies......for me I wish I could help the entire world....Some say it is a huge under taking.....I disagree if more felt the way we do and each person helped we could definitely make a difference in so many live's of people and animals.......One of the reasons I had to remove myself from Facebook was because of animals...all that started out as a honest concern for animals lead me to other pages....to my horror while I know animal abuse happen's everyday all over the world .....there were forms of animal abuse I never knew happened....for awhile I said to myself well Catherine if you do not open the page and view the video you will never know and then how can you make a difference....it made me so so sick.....I for one never ever like the circus or zoo's sorry these animals are mean't to be free and roam the earth as well do.....not to be locked behind cages for display for us human's to look at.....some spend their entire live locked up with never having any freedom.....and worst some are placed in a cage with not another companion just like old aged homes no simulation no one to be with ......these animals like people go into deep depression and they sit there and just stare at the walls....Okay enough tears are coming....so I agree do not buy rescue I promise you ........your life and their life will never be the same forever........peace.
