He was driving a quad that hit a rock in the road and he and a friend went flying over the handelbars. Thank goodness they were wearing helmets or the damage would be far greater! He spent 6 hours in the ER but they finally sent him home covered in deep abrasions and scrapes and cuts all over his upper torso and hands. They cleaned them out good but I wish they would have kept him at least over-night. He couldn't even lift his arm to eat a half a turkey sandwich or bend down to take off his muddy socks. It's going to be a long painful night for him. Thanks in advance for prayers for fast healing with no infection!!

Kevin woke up this morning and his whole left arm and hand was swollen and the huge abrasions on that arm were just oozing pus. I got him in almost immediately to his pcp but he sent us directly over to the ER. Every single person we walked by made a comment or came over to look. He was a walking wreck! The ER doctor took a look and she immediately made him an appt at the BurnCenter in Pittsburgh on Monday. They took a chest X-ray, drew lots of blood and gave him an f I antibiotic IV. He is to go back to the ER on Sunday so she can check him. Poor kid has at least another week off of school and baseball. Continued prayers please!!!
