if it was delivered and someone stole it I don't see how that was your fault,IMO she should have either had it delivered to her job or a friend who was home if she wasn't going to be there she can also file a claim with who ever the delivery company was our neighbor had a tv stole from his porch and he did that 2|1|This is the deliverly notice from USPS|melpaul|Melpaul199@aol.com|20:26:56|12/05/2016|

Call Ebay and there is a 99% chance that the item being confirmed as delivered by the tracking number means the buyer can open a claim but they can not win. They may leave you a negative feedback but the seller prevails in this type situation. Call Ebay to confirm this. 4|1|Thanks all!|melpaul|Melpaul199@aol.com|13:40:00|12/06/2016|

Do not let the buyer run the show. If the tracking number shows that it was delivered to the confirmed Paypal address then that is all you are obligated to do. Tell the buyer the day and time it was delivered to their address. Force them if they desire to open a claim with Ebay. Be very careful to not let the buyer trick you into a refund, replacement, etc.
If they open a claim just upload a copy of the tracking number status and limit your words to that. You did what Ebay wants you to do which is use a tracking number. If the item got delivered to another city or state that is a different matter and you have to wait for the post office to find the package.

6|3|I had an ebay seller tell me that ebay always sides with the buyers :-( In her case she sold a $200 GC. The buyer claimed that yes, they received the priority envelope but no, there was no GC in it. Ebay sided with the buyer even though she had mailing proof and signature proof. :-(|Chicagoclipper|Barb.erradi@aol.com|23:11:02|12/07/2016|

I really hope that won't be the case for you, Janet...as it is heart breaking to lose out in this way.

Is there insurance on it? Would that help at all? It is neither the buyer nor the seller's fault. The only thing that could have been done different is requiring a signature for delivery so it had to be placed literally in her hands. 7|4|solution?|money4saver|ngill@comporium.net|10:31:21|12/08/2016|

If package was less than $250, didn't require signature confirmation, delivered to the address given by the buyer and the tracking number confirms this, then the seller has done their responsibilities as far as Ebay is concerned. If the buyer opens a case for item not received, then upload the tracking number to the case and call EBay and ask then to close the case in the seller's favor based on the tracking number. 8|1|Did you have Insurance on package?|dee796|dry796@hotmail.com|16:45:15|12/08/2016|

If you had insurance on package and she didn't receive, then the delivery company might have to pay for lost item, or not received item.
E-bay does side with the buyer most of the time, but if you had tracking, you shouldn't have to refund, the package met the destination and
after it arrives, the responsibility should be between the carrier and the buyer.
Best to you!
