I get alot of migraines & have tried everything. I get real sick from them & was wondering if anyone else suffers like this & what do you do? I have FMLA at work for it. I hate to take off, but when your sick you can't do anything. I watch what I eat & drink. Any advice PLEASE!!!

Have you tried Excedrin Migraine? It works a lot of the time. But for the times it doesn't work I take a RX medicine especially for Migraines called Imitrex. It's pretty pricey, but if you have good insurance it should cover it. Migraines are terrible. Mine usually start with what I call "The Spotty Eye Thing" then the sensitivity to light, noise,movement,and if it gets to the point of throwing up, then it's a trip to the clinic or E.R. for a shot of Demerol. I think you have to suffer from Migraines to really understand how painful they can be.I know I have missed a lot of work days and a lot of fun things due to Migraines. Found this out years ago, when they put so much msg in Chinese food,
I would be out of commission for about 3 days.
Now I just watch what I eat, because it's in everything.
