luckily I am not currently suffering from nerve pain. I know Lyrica is a often prescribed medication that helps relieve diabetic nerve pain. Ask your physician if that or any other meds are right for you to take for your pain. 3|2|I have diabetic nerve pain|angNC|memawang@nc.rr.com|22:15:51|10/16/2015|

Hell on earth. When I first came down with it gp had no idea why, finally figure out that I had been diabetic for years.
That is how I got it. Sometimes it feels like steak knifes stabbing, My feet are numb past my ankles. I get these
cramps in my toes etc. It is not fun. Gabapentin helps but not a cure. PS cheap generic. Good Luck 2|1|Diabetic nerve pain|dragonmom|sueedelmann@yahoo.com|10:44:09|10/13/2015|

I'm not diabetic but get this from the chemo I've been doing for the last 6 years. I tried Lyrica but it caused severe depression for me (it is listed as a common side effect) and did very little to help with pain, so I stopped that one. Now am taking gabapentin 3x a day, just started a month ago, it has eased the pain in my heels and hands, but still have pain in my toes, hoping it goes away too. The pharmacist recommended Zostrix cream for nerve pain in my feet, been using that too. Have also been told Frankensence is good for it, there are a number of OTC products with it, and my SIL is into essential oils and said to try that on the areas that have the pain.

Definitely talk to your dr. for an Rx for one of the pills that are available (Lyrica, Gabapentin and more are used for this), and you may want to try some of the various OTC creams, etc. There are a lot of them, most seem focused on feet, but I had hands doing the same thing and figured I'd use it on them too. Most are fairly expensive, and prices vary greatly by store (Zostrix was $5 less at Target than at Meijer here, then found it $1 less at Walmart. Also I noticed that each store has some different products, so if one doesn't work, try another, there are plenty.

plus fibromyalgia. I haven't had feeling in my right foot in years. I take Lyrica 150mg 3 x day, gabapentin, celebrex and norcos for when the pain is unbearable. I have had a knee replacement and lumbar surgery on my lower back, + rotator cuff surgery among others. I have sjogrens syndrome if anyone has ever heard of it? It's an auto-immune disorder (dry eye/dry mouth)along with Reynaud's syndrome which causes my fingers to turn red then blue and totally numb. I have to wear those really neat gloves that allow you to type mostly all the time in the winter or my fingers will split open on top and be so very painful! I've tried literally hundreds of creams and lotions on them but the only one which helps at all is O'Keeffe's Working Hands Cream and I keep a tub of it in every room of my house!!! I have a whole tote filled with all kinds of those creams that I've bought or won in auction or friends have sent to me....if anybody needs any certain one, let me know I may have it!!

Please leave me feedback if we have had a favorable trade and I will do the same for you!
