I put my big girl panties on, made the call and plan to venture out by myself to a singles outing.
Never have I done this and never by myself. I have 1 local best friend who is 64 (14 yrs older than myself)and occasionally we do things together, however this BF is just not being herself these days. She seems to have brain fog to the extent of on the boarder of losing her job of 27 years, has money problems(which always has had)now to the point her kids want to take care of her checkbook, cares only in her online dating sites, has become very snippy/distracted/says one thing but does another and the list goes on. Soooooo I have decided to take the plunge and try something by myself. I am so afraid but I know that I need to "expand my horizons".

12 people showed up, chatted alot, got to know names & faces so that when there's any outing you'll at least know someone. NOW if I only stay on top of it & actually get out & go to some stuff. It's hard when your life revolves around kiddos.
