I've been invited to join a new site called WriteOn. It's in beta right now, from Amazon. It allows people to post stories they have written (and even partial stories/works in progress) and invite other members to offer feedback on their writing. It allows you to read stories from all different genres, and of all different types of writing, and offer your comments or feedback, and for authors to get some hopefully helpful feedback and comments to improve the story.
It is by invite only at this time, but I can request a code to allow others to join (they will assign specific codes and I can send to you as they give me some).
If anybody is interested in posting their work for feedback or just reading some new authors and offering comments, let me know and I will request a code for you.
So far, I've read one great short story, two really interesting novels, and browsed the first chapter or so of a number of other books, some were interesting, some I didn't care much for. But even the ones you don't like, the authors appreciate knowing what it was that made you not want to read it.
I'm not sure how much feedback anybody gets, and it is still in beta so it's not a big group yet. I am NOT planning on writing anything, but love to read and have enjoyed getting a look at some early drafts.
