We took my dog to the vet a little over week ago. He had a blade infection. His platelets were low also, at 87. So the vet
Put him on meds. Took him back 5 days later, they dropped to 47. Not good at all. Put him on more meds. And did a tick test.
To see if one bite him. But we are in northern mi. It's been cold here for months. So I wouldn't think that would be the problem.
But that's one of the first thing they test for.
Well he goes back Friday for other blood test. To see where his platelet count is at. But he doesn't seem to feel
Good tonight. Not sure if it's the meds making him tired or getting sicker.
He's old going on 3 and my baby. Please say a prayer that he is getting better. That the meds are helping.

He went back Friday. Platelet number are going back up slowly.
He eats his treats (people food) with him meds. But not eating his dog
food. He ate a little bit on Friday. But that's it.
He is peeing all the time due to his meds. He went out 6 times last night
after I went to bed. And I still found 2 spots on the floor. I know he cant
help it.
Going to call the vet in the morning. see if we can cut back the meds a little.
He's taking 2 in the morning and 2 at night. They made his drink more and pee all the
time. Lucky I am home most of the time or my son is. And I own 2 carpet cleaners.
The away the vet talk he will be on meds for weeks-months.
Goes back Friday to check his blood count again.
Tick test they did is not back yet.

It been two months now. Been on several diff meds. He was starting to feel better. His platelet started out at 41...last time we were at the vets it was up to 136. But now he's not feeling good. Not eating. Can't even get him to eat people food.
Called the vet today. She said to take him off his cemo meds for 48 hours. See if he would start eating.
Wants to see if there is something else wrong with him, or just the meds upsetting his stomach.
He looks so sad when he's sick. Pray my baby gets better.
