24|2|Sandy-- when do you |salsafan|salsafan@sbcglobal.net|01:36:21|10/29/2014|
plant the seeds? Do they need a fence or other vertical frame to climb up? I have been admiring deep blue beautiful morning glories around town every year and planning to start some but then I forget. Had lunch with some ladies recently and they started talking abt neighbors having these and that they become invasives that you can never get rid of and they ruin fences, etc. I was very disappointed to learn that one of my life goals might actually be a terrible/unwise idea. I am now tossing around the idea of starting cuttings in a big pot... to confine the roots and maybe I could use a tomato frame for them to climb on. Have you had yrs for many yrs and have you experienced any unwanted spreading problems? Thanks, Sandy... 25|3|You plant them in the spring; they can be started in a little pot or starter kit earlier.|SandyC|sacoates1@msn.com|08:25:33|10/29/2014|
This past summer was my 2nd summer having them. Had a trellis for them to climb on. They seeded themselves in a couple places other than where I had planted them a few feet away. Not as far as neighbors' yards. They are beautiful and fun to grow. The ones I had are pink but 3 times I saw a blue bloom. I may be nuts but I like dandelions too.

26|1|I do grow mine in pots due to my horrible soil.|Jorainna|jorainna@aol.com|12:46:00|10/29/2014|
Years ago before we lived here, I planted them in the soil next to the porch railings and let them grow and they were beautiful! Yes, they will re-seed but not what I would call invasive. (Talk about invasive - I have winter creeper that I can't get rid of!) Last year a friend here at work gave me the royal blue seed and I tried them in a pot on the deck and it worked nicely. Now I am excited come spring to get to try these pink ones!!
