I traded some coupons that are real, legit manufacturer coupons (they came on a sheet of coupons, the ones that came with the Pabst offfer7040 that also included the Claussen pickles, Alexia frozen potatoes, Pam Cooking Spray, etc) and now they lady says the coupons won't scan at Publix and she tried 2 different times. I don't know what Publix coupon policy is but that's not my fault. I have used them at 3 different stores and had no problems.
I did not trade them on this board so it's no one here. She wants her money back and she wants to keep the coupons. Is it really my problem the coupons won't scan when I have used them myself at Wal-Mart, Kroger and another local grocery in my own state. I traded these coupons with a number of other traders and had no issues like this. What should I do? I used the Claussen at BJ's and it scanned at the register. These are Manufacurer Kraft cpns.
If it dosen't scan at the crt the clerk should scan it in. Also why does she want her $ back AND keep the coupons.

and have used them myself as well, no problems using them - these coupons are legit. However, if any of the coupons I use that won't scan, the cashier keys the number in manually or calls the manager to do it for her. She can take the coupons to a different store if Publix is giving her a problem using them. It's not your problem. Yet, she wants to keep the coupons and still wants a refund? coupons at one store but, in that case, they read it carefully and then enter it manually. One of her stores may balk at taking a coupon that doesn't scan but she can use it at another store or complain to the mgr.....
Sounds like she is trying to have her cake and eat it too...
Tell her you posted about the situation at a trading board as you thought her demand sounded unfair.... No one agreed with her and the consensus was that she should use them at another store or take it up with the mgr....

I woke up to this email:
I don't shop at Walmart, only publix. I tried again and they still wouldn't scan so the cashier called the manager over and the manager told her to enter them manually. They tried each one individually but they would not scan. The manager said he would accept them this time, (4 of them) but they have no way of knowing if they are "fake" until the manufacturer rejects them. Did they come from a coupon insert in the Sunday paper or what? ( just for me to know) I know they were on a shiney type paper, which shouldn't matter because I've had coupons like that before..I don't know. Thanks
I told her I have sued the coupons at Wal-Mart, Kroger, and another local chain of grocery stores without issues with these coupons. I told her to call Publix customer service. seen old coupons with nothing to scan,and they are no expiration date so the checker just puts in to the register manufacture cpn and the amount.
