My friend's daugther just had a baby boy Jan 3rd. & got pregant again 6 weeks later. Baby girl due in Dec. She told her mom she wants another baby shower cause she can't afford to buy items for this baby. The other shower we had last Oct. she rec'd really big items from family. Her boyfriend is into drugs alot & they fight all the time.<BR>My family only has a shower for your 1st baby. Which is the proper way? PLMK<BR>  Thanks,<BR>   seahawk

Even if they are all boys or girls. If you feel you have to be gracious and  Since it's a girl this time just get a girl outfit.  Don't think you have to spend a lot. Here they get big gifts every time. Gift bags filled with stuff. It's crazy but the new trend

About the only time it's acceptable<BR>to have a shower for a subsequent baby is if there is a really big gap in years between babies. <BR> In these situations it's not uncommon for the family to have gotten rid of all their baby items.<P>With that said, Ive seen people have these showers for a subsequent child,  but then<BR>the group invited is much smaller and is usually just a few relatives and close friends.<BR>Pretty much people that would have purchased a gift anyway for the baby AFTER he/she<BR>was born. <P>I'm in the Midwesr if that makes any difference.

She wants a second baby shower because she can't afford to have this baby... Maybe adoption is a better idea for this baby and after that her tubes tied!

My daughter had a shower for 1,2,4.<BR>After the first 2 everything was wore out.
