I have two friends who have both got letters with several rebates that were done many years ago( like 4 or 5) and never paid listed the letter said they needed to fill out this paper and return to get the money or it would be turned in to the states lost money fund,One send the paper back the other threw it away thinking it was a scam, guess we'll see. They didn't tell me what clearing
house and I didn't think to ask

unclaimed funds have to be submitted to State and an effort has to be made to make them available to payee before State can keep them... You can also look up unclaimed funds online
