How many RAOK'S can we do in 48 hours?
I am suggesting this idea - we do RAOK's for 48hrs and see how many we can do. When you are the WINNER then you get to HOST/GIVE the next RAOK. It must be posted within 3hrs. from you winning. This way the people during the day and evening both get a chance to win. The HOST of the RAOK needs to be sure and post how many guesses each per person gets.

Here is a link to it - my Mom did a few changes to it - see below.

1 pound ground beef OR 2 packages of chopped beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tsp. Crisco or oil
salt and black pepper, to taste
3 tablespoons flour
2-1/2 cups milk (more if you like it thinner) (Mom used half & half with the milk)
6 slices buttered toast or biscuits (we always use toast)
Add the teaspoon of oil or Crisco to hot, deep skillet along with the ground beef. As beef begins to lose raw look, add the chopped onion, salt and pepper.
Reduce heat and simmer, stirring often, until meat is completely cooked. Sprinkle flour over top and stir into meat and onion mixture until totally absorbed.
Slowly add milk, stirring constantly, until thickened. Taste and adjust salt and pepper.
Serve over 2 slices of toast or biscuits; fried egg is a great accompaniment!

I never had it with ground beef we always had corned beef. Dad was Navy and they called it Shi! On a shingle.
