Having this done next Friday, and I'm starting to get really scared. Anyone have a story they would like to share? Pain level? How long to recover? What to do and what NOT to do after surgery.Any advice would be great. Thanks, Pat 1|1|hubby had tbis more inside|gwens29|gwen41539@bellsouth.net|11:21:01|06/21/2014|

My husband is a big baby he did great it was his first and only surgery it didnt take.long they had to remove some loose cartilage that was floating around in there they made 2 small incisions on each side of his knee afterward he had an acebandage on it and crutches for about a week he rested for the next few days the first few days he was pretty sore but nothing horrible they gave him pain meds and he kept his knee elevated and iced you will be fine I promise hang in there it will be over and u will be like that was no biggie..

I had both knees done and you will have some pain but it's a GOOD pain. You'll be able to tell the difference after he surgery. If they suggest that you
have PT -- be sure to do it!!! I didn't do it on one of them and it's a lot more stiff then the other one.

It's much better to have this done then to have total knee replacement. The scope, should help prevent you from having totally knee surgery.

Good Luck to you!!
