I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble breathing and being tired. Before you be mad at your family so much, check out this article and study, it probably isn't second hand smoke.

Feel better soon! :)

"The warning that "secondhand smoke kills," with lung cancer as the paradigmatic example, played an important role in the debate over government-imposed smoking bans. By raising the stakes, it helped transform a complaint into a right, so that people annoyed by tobacco smoke now felt justified in demanding that it be eliminated everywhere they might want to go, including other people's property. As another expert quoted in the JNCI article puts it, "We've gotten smoking out of bars and restaurants on the basis of the fact that you and I and other nonsmokers don't want to die. The reality is, we probably won't." Now they tell us."

He uses a nebulizer machine frequently during the day (in fact we travel with a portable one in the car or wherever we go)plus other medications. However, it has not stopped us from traveling (in fact today we are flying away for a few days)or enjoying life. Yes - he had to retire a couple of years earlier than planned..but everyone has to make concessions in life. Don't let COPD or your anger take over your life...get your health under control and learn what you must do to keep it that way...and, then go out and enjoy yourself.

Thank You

I was 30 when they said I needed a heart transplant and to plan my funeral. I was really upset at first but 15 years later, I am thankful for it all. I've learned a lot from facing death.
I get upset when I am sitting in the cardiologist's office waiting to be called in and the whole room is filled with people 20-30 years older than me. But then I think about the children who have this same rare heart condition and how I got 30 years of life without it. They didn't get those years but I did. It is humbling for me. 7|1|I am so sorry for your diagnosis and your fear. Of course you are angry...perhaps more at life than your parents.
