I made a trade for 38.00 for weight circles and the envie came today with no contents. The side of the envelope was opened by a letter opener. No tears no rips on envie etc except for on the side where it was neatly cut open. I have emailed the person but not sure what is normal protocol for this.

How would everyone else handle this?

Thanks for any help on this matter.

I have lots to trade and a large w/l.

You did not get the merchandise that you paid for so the person needs to refund you or re-send.

It is the responsibility of the person who sent you the merchandise to make sure the envelope is properly packaged and taped. They bear the burden even if the package arrives damaged. 5|1|I wonder if the p.o. opened this letter?|Sharon|sforshee@hughes.net|00:46:20|06/01/2014|

Hubby has told me that the p.o. can open your mail if they see something is suspicious? I wouldn't be a bit surprised if that's the case. We've gotten calls from our local postmaster of boxes they've rec'd that was heavy asking what's in the box!! I don't feel good about this at all as it's an invasion of privacy - we have no idea what they're doing to our mail. 6|2|I wonder too Sharon but why not just stuff the weight circles back into the envie? Why would they want those it was not cash or gift cards. No need to keep them :(|Shirley89015|Mush3701@comcast.net|07:53:37|06/01/2014|

SAHM to 7 beautiful Kids. 7|3|I don't think there is any logic behind the po opening this envie if by a freak chance they did because it was in ? of what was in the envie then once they found out what|teener|teenerzacsneenee@yahoo.com|08:30:08|06/01/2014|

like drugs or other items. This also applies to carriers like UPS and FedEx.

The issue here with this trade, as you said, is that the items were not put back in the envelope and sent on their merry way. That is the mystery.

all fell on the floor, didn't want to be bothered putting it back in envie and just put in the trash? You stated it was opened with a letter opener as it was neatly cut open, so this was obviously done deliberately. If that's the case, it's a darn shame. 10|4|I agree. Anyway that one looks at it, it is a difficult situation for the sender and receiver. It is very sad that this happened to them.
