There was a report on the mail service on our local news channel.. Said mail service will not get better. 1000 workers retired and new workers need to be traded. Closing of some post offices also contributes to the delays. They said service in Chicago is the worst.

their own mail, they may not do it any longer. Lexington is a metro city, meaning we are pretty large, yet our processing (sorting) plant is now Louisville. Our big nice main post office is still open and looks just like it always did, but now has less workers. unless we help the postal union now. The older postal workers have with the aid of the union and Congree passed a law requiring the PO to set aside 50 years worth of retirement benfits fior every worker. THAT WAS WHY SO MANY HAD to retire last year. The newer employees want to repeal this law. But not many pople know about it. They themselves are not allowed to lobby on this. So, I told my postman I will help to publicize this. Call/write to yopu Congreemas/Senator about this ridiculous law that no other country/company/gov employee have.

She should have received it within 2-3 days but it's already but longer than that. I personally gave this pkg (along with other orders) to my mailman so I'm wondering if he messed up and left it in his truck or if something is going on at the p.o. Can I get a refund on that priority mail pkg or is there something I can do about it? This just isn't right. :\

it continues to get worse as they're deep in the red and only reason they're hanging on is because of junk mail. Many of my trades, including incoming are taking longer, some I've had to replace recently as well, nothing I can do about that. All p.o. around here are closed for 3 hours mid-day Mon-Fri and I asked one closest to me about it and she said their business has suffered greatly because of that. The first time I noticed this cutback at another p.o., over a year ago, the woman clerk said yes and we have 3 hour lunch now and we get paid too! I was stunned!
