It would be like your offline bank in town calling & asking you for your birthdate & soc. security number. Don't do it! It's NOT legit as they'd already have that info when you opened your account w/them so would have NO need to ask you for it again.

When making a PP payment or to check your PP account, ALWAYS open a new tab & type in https://www.paypal.com. Make sure that S is in there for Security.

I actually checked with PP and they said their site does not ever ask for a person's name if they have an account.
