I made a trade with someone for a certain amount, which they paid, but because of fees I received less than what was being offered/asked for. If I was to go ahead with the trade I'd be almost a whole dollar out of pocket because I have to pay postage. But if I cancel & return the P@yp@l I'm going to be charged a fee for returning it!!
PLEASE be aware that I'm simply asking for advice on this matter. The person involved is good & reliable & I've never had any issues with any of our past trades.

It could be a simple mistake on her part that she forgot to check the correct box.
If she is a new trader then perhaps she didn't know.

The trade I did came to $3.82. I only received $3.41 as Paypal took some of the funds for fees. To return the Paypal is going to cost me $3.71. I NEVER actually received $3.82, this is a nightmare :(
Anyone have any ideas? The trader is asking for the full amount back ($3.82) BUT I did not receive that amount.

No you won't be charged a fee if you use the "issue Refund" "button" in paypal it just basically reverses the transaction provided you send back the full amount. Keep even a penny and you will be charged paypal fees.
If you create a transaction and send the money back that way then Yes! You pay the fees that were charged to you when you got it and then they will be charged the fees also when you send it back.

My original post CLEARLY states that I was MERELY SEEKING ADVICE regarding this trade. I cannot return what I don't have. This whole thing is totally ridiculous & apparently I should have made it clear that I only accept non fee P@yp@l when I agreed to this 'business transaction' As far as scrapping goes I obviously don't understand that term as I cannot for the life of me see how requesting help translates to scrapping.
If I had the full amount to return I would have done so in a heartbeat & bypassed asking for help on here, because things seem to have a way of blowing up & turning into something they really are not.
I began this post & I'm shutting it down. Thank you for the advice ladies.
Keep a look out for my name on some blacklist because I cannot get P@yp@l to forfeit their fee, or loan me a few cents to be able to refund what's being asked for.
