I was supposed to receive 50 coupons from a trade and what I got was a postal bodybag that said the envelope was torn open and everything was lost.
I've contacted the seller with no response.
Any suggestions?
Judy in NV 1|1|That is a tricky one. Technically it arrived, and the trader shouldn't be responsible for post office abuse. HOWEVER, if it wer one of my envelopes and I had another 50 coupons, I would probably remain as long as it was a reputable trader and not a serial problem with the receiver. I ORDERED A LARGE AMOUNT OF COUPONS FROM SOMEONE I HAD NEVER TRADED WITH BEFORE.
WHEN I RECEIVED "THE BODY-BAG" IN THE MAIL WITH JUST THE RIPPED-UP ENVY AND NO COUPONS,
I EMAILED THE PERSON & EXPLAINED TO THEM WHAT I HAD GOTTEN IN THE MAIL, BODY-BAG WITH RIPPED-UP ENVY.
I WAS BASICALLY CALLED A LIAR, AND ASKED HOW COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED???
I WANTED TO ASK THE PERSON WHO SENT THEM TO ME "HOW" DID THEY MAIL THEM, MEANING WERE THEY JUST PUT IN THE ENVY
OR WERE THEY PUT INSIDE A PIECE OF COMPUTER PAPER (FOR ADDED PROTECTION) BUT WITH THE EMAILS THAT I RECEIVED FROM HER
(NASTY) I NEVER ASKED THE QUESTION. I DID RECEIVE A REFUND FROM HER (I DID NOT ASK FOR IT)AND HAVE NEVER TRADED WITH
HER AGAIN.

The entire back of the envelope was ripped off so really can't tell if it was taped or not. 9|3|If it was taped...it wouldn't rip, the tape wouldn't rip like the paper does. The fact that she is not responding is frustrating me a little. I'm just not sure that I should report it as a bad trade, and I really wouldn't if she would at least discuss it with me.

We have talked and talked on this board about not using those flimsy envelopes and have told everyone to tape securely.
If traders don't heed that advice then they are taking a real risk and bear the burden if there is damage to the envelope and the product (coupons/forms)are not received.
Those coupons were not delivered so the seller is responsible to replace or refund.

I paid for the coupons and received an empty envelope...
But honestly, I would not lose sleep over the $3.25 I sent her....I am more upset that these coupons were hard to find and I was sooo happy to have them coming.
If she would just respond to my e-mails, I'd would like to ask her if she might find more - or could we reach some kind of resolution.

She has responded tonight, and seems really sincere in her effort to make up the trade however she can. Her life is complicated right now, but I'm sure that this will come to a good resolution for both of us.

I loaded that envelope with tape---not just Scotch---but I use packaging tape and so far I have been lucky that things have gotten through. Where they sell overstock/discontinued/bankruptcy type stuff, you can get the tape pretty cheap, like around 99¢/$1.29 a roll. There are a couple around here & they have just about any kind/color you want - narrow/wide, clear, brown packaging, red, blue, etc. It's good tape!
