My hubby and I recently started posting our crafts on Etsy but it's been a little over a month and so far only sold one item. I know my crochet work is priced on the low side compared to others so it can't be that I overpriced. How do I get more people to browse my shop, maybe favorite it or buy my products. I think we're just hidden somehow. Looking for etsy seller advice... Would love to have a little extra $ with 5 kids we just barely get by on work income alone. Tips anyone? 1|1|Have you tried posting those items for sale at Rs?|Barb09|Barb.erradi@aol.com|22:34:24|05/14/2014|

No I haven't posted on here items for sale because I'd like to have them on a site where the buyers are specifically looking for handmade items. I'd rather have everything on one site. I was really hoping there would be other Etsy sellers that could give me pointers. But thanks anyway.

To be honest I've never made dishcloths because I didn't think people would buy them. Guess I should make a few and see how they turn out. Cotton yarns are a bit more expensive than acrylic yarns and you get quite a bit less of it so I'll keep my eyes open for cotton yarn sales and see what I can do.

I love the cotton ones and I don't mind paying a bit more for them, if you ever make any, please do let me know. :) Thank you! 11|4|Cinda, I still make dishcloths, and even have some pink in my cotton yarn stock now ;)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|20:11:12|05/23/2014|

I like the items I can use, too practical for my own good. I can't go back to buying dishcloths in stores after trying the homemade cotton ones. Just so wonderful. I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves them. :) 8|5|The napkins are just two.....|Quietwaters|Quietwaters39@hotmail.com|07:45:25|05/16/2014|

squares of flannel that are whipped together around the edges. I bet she bought thirty of them, in kid friendly prints. They love to choose which one is theirs for the meal, saves a lot on paper and they wash really nice.

"You're so open minded that your brain leaked out." - Steve Taylor 10|1|Etsy tips....the tags you use in your listings are the key! Use the most descriptive words first, but use all the tags you are allowed....add general words like cute, adorable, classic, vintage, etc....the tags will get your items in search results done by customers. Also, favorite some shops there that do NOT sell the same type of items you do....sometimes shops will return the favor and favorite your shop as well. Find some shops that get alot of traffic, lots of feedback. Also, do not cut your prices too low....people associate quality with a decent price. One last thing....your listing photos should be clear, well-lit, and show the items in use. For example, if you are selling a blanket, stage it on a bed or even on a clothesline outside (great lighting and full view of blanket). Use at least 2 or 3 photos in the listing showing the item in full, and then some closer shots to show detail.|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|20:08:44|05/23/2014|
