My ears/eustachian tubes have been plugged & our necks are hurting, in addition to my back.
Try to stay indoors as much as possible & AVOID any perfumey stuff (cologne, perfume, perfumed soaps, hand lotions, etc.). I hate this cuz when it's nice out as I want to be outside doing things, not sitting in here like a lump. No choice. :( I'm thinking of getting an air purifier, just to see if that'll help. Trying to find a small, table top dehumidifier that'll also help purify the air.

My mom & I just got done w/anti-biotics for sinus infections. Thing is, I don't hardly sneeze at all (my dog sneezes more than I do) & have little, if any, drainage, where my mom sneezes & sneezes & has drainage. I also got some Elderberry lozenges w/zinc & bought some Oregano oil. Both are supposed to help w/allergies, sinus, etc. The oregano oil doesn't taste the greatest but you put it in water or juice. I think juice hides the taste better. LOL Mucinex is also supposed to help w/the mucous but I can only take the one for coughs as all the others have warnings for high bp, heart disease, etc. The oregano oil can raise your bp a little bit too (probably from the taste! ROFL!!), but I figure it can't be any worse than the decongestants the ENT keeps telling me to take (I don't take it tho cuz it doesn't work for me).
Been using the massager on/around my ears & in the area of my eustachian tubes, to try & work the gunk out of my eustachian tubes. Seems to help some so the plugged feeling/pressure isn't as bad. And I avoid wearing my hearing aids as much as possible to keep my ears dried out good. A heat pack also helps some - put it on the back of my neck, on top of head, over eyes, back of head, & on my back.
Was using a sinus flush but had to stop as it must push the crud up into my head & it would feel like I had heartburn inside my head. Then too, my ears/eustachian tubes got plugged. The sinus flush would help alleviate the pain/pressure in my cheeks (including my teeth) & forehead, but w/getting the burning & plugged ears/tubes, I'm going to have to try something else.
Other than that, my allergies/hay fever are good thanks to the help of a chiropractor. He just can't do much for the annoying sinus infections.
Hope something helps work for you! :)

We purchased a "VENTA-AIRWASHER" - it's a humidification and purification system. We were so pleased we bought another. We purchased it at Bed, Bath & Beyond and used a 20% coupon to bring the price down as they are not on sale. 3 sizes to select from and no messy filters to deal with. I notice less dust on areas.

We one on a countertop pass through and one on my dresser. Don't take up much room.

especially over my nose area, loosens and promotes draining. Like Tami, I put the hot packs all over too, my head hurts so much with the darned allergies. One of my friends gave me a heat pack many moons ago that I just throw in the microwave. I just made a new cover for it as it was getting kind of beat up. Anyway, I don't get it too hot and put it on top of my head, angling over my eye where there is also pain and lay there, LOL, praying for sleep and it usually works. Feel better!

I use to help my mom out in her herbal shop and her are a few testimonies of her customers, what they used.

If you have ever been to the beach, you might have noticed how your allergies and sinus clears up. Some of her customers used sea salt in a nettie pot, to get the same results. Zylitol nasal spray is wonderful too! and if you don't have a nettie pot or can't afford the zylitol spray, you can purchase some sea salt and mix in water and inhale up your nostril, same with zylitol, you can get the zylitol sugar, which is a natural sugar that is known for taking the bad bacteria out and putting good in, can get it at about any grocery or health store and mix a little with water and inhale up nostril. The zylitol is also a great replacement for regular sugar. Hope this helps. ALJ which is a natures sunshine herb is wonderful too!

Thank you for your feedback!

NEVER, EVER use plain tap water right out of the faucet for any kind of sinus rinse or neti pot. Always use DISTILLED water or boil the tap water 1st & let it cool. Using tap water right out of the faucet carries a host of risks w/possible death being one of them.

After spending 3 days on Benedryl I decided to get up off my duff and make some herbal tea. This is what I used.

4 c water
1/2 tsp heaping or so of each herb- hyssop, echineacha, gingko, white willow back, mashmallow, and for flavoring I used morning in missoula, but you can use anything. Bring to small boil and simmer for 15 minutes or so.

You can find all these herbs at tea shops or natural food stores. I buy in bulk, it's cheaper. There's other herbs that you can use too.

allergies. He does this every single day and SWEARS by it now and his allergy symptoms are pretty much non existent since doing this. Find a 'local' source for pure raw honey..someone who has bees you can buy honey directly from them. MUST be from your own area where you live as that is what your allergies are reacting from ..things in your area. Eat a tablespoon of that local honey every single day. It fixes your body to stop reacting to the allergens.
I myself have tried it..and it was working..but my own stupidity I stopped doing it and now suffering..again..from allergies. I don't like the taste of honey so am going to have to 'force' myself to do this of course. :) Better than feeling badly all the time and having the symptoms to go with for sure!

then search your area for natural health stores, they usually will have local honey. Summer is near so also try your Farmer's Market to get you through the year with local honey. It has to be local (from your state and usually a little more expensive) because just buying something that is not local in the grocery store will not work.
