I sold some energizer rebate codes over in the refunding forum. One of the buyers has let me know they were rejected and they want to receive their money back. It is my fault they were rejected? Should I be offering a refund to them?

Thanks 1|1|I don't think you owe a refund When one trades for codes they should read all the rules before they|teener|teenerzacsneenee@yahoo.com|10:19:34|03/04/2014|

decide to trade for them In this offers case they say they can request a crt so trading for just the codes is a risk one takes 2|1|My opinion:|20yrrefunder|tradernikki@yahoo.com|10:52:59|03/04/2014|

Those codes were horrible to read to me - then you had to type them in and email them to somebody and then they had to enter them. Lots of chances for mistakes. I do not know what you should do - but just wanted you to know that I thought those codes were absolutely terrible to read and enter.

entering the codes. I received an e-mail that stated "Everything worked perfectly". The codes went in, she probably entered multiples from the same IP address and is getting dinged. She is asking for my receipts, which I no longer have, or full reimbursement. 4|3|IMO - You are not responsible for the decision of the clearinghouse.|Arizona|vjast48@gmail.com|11:51:50|03/04/2014|

If the codes were correct and accepted by the clearinghouse, then you fulfilled your part of the trade.

It's just crazy to think you will get a refund on codes that WORKED and were ACCEPTED. You're end was done after they were accepted.

Thanks for the input. The trader now wants half of her money back, at least. She says since we made the trade prior to reports of people being rejected and asking for CRTs that she got 0% and I got 100%. She wants to split it down the middle, I may just do it and get this over with. in teh case of codes the rules are posted on the website where the person who enters then can read them it's a chance they took this is how I feel even about mine which I am still waiting on If I get rejected it's on me not the trader I got them from 11|3|Who is the other trader? I had these codes and chose not to trade them as I figured eventually Energizer would reject them. But no, you dont owe a refund. |Barb09|Barb0969@AOL.com|10:11:03|03/05/2014|

It's the same as buying coupons and the product not bring in your area. That's happened to me a few times.
I still have hopes for my gift cards. But if not. I tried. : ) 13|1|Steveokur...my opinion on this trade....|Sharon|sforshee@hughes.net|11:54:47|03/05/2014|

From what I read when trade was made, trader had no problem entering codes - she said everything worked perfectly. Trade was also made prior to people posting getting rejected, then Energizer requested receipts. They can change the rules anytime during the period of the offer, especially if they get overwhelmed with so many requests. Because she got rejected, you're not liable to give her a half or full refund. HTH, Sharon:) 14|2|Agree with you 100% Sharon!!|cashcoll|cashcoll@yahoo.com|12:32:45|03/05/2014|

I took the same gamble on this deal with another trader here. If I had been rejected I wouldn't expect to have them refund me at all. They honored their part all codes were entered and all went through just fine.

Later I read the rejection posts and I just continued to wait for either my rejection letter or my cards. I was surprised...I got the cards without a problem just a few weeks ago. Maybe it matters that I've never done an energizer deal and maybe not but the last thing I would expect is that the person I got the codes from refund my money had I gotten the rejection letter. I did email them to say "yeah, I got my cards and THANKS again!"

So does that mean if I get a rejection on another type of refund I should somehow blame it on the person I got it from?...I don't think so.

All refunds are a gamble IMO there is risk and there is reward. Sometimes you win, sometimes you just loose.

You sent exactly what you said you would and the codes worked. I've traded for many things that didn't pan out for me and I lost all I spent on the trade, but that certainly was not the fault of the person who traded me the items. A few years back there was a really good free razor coupon in the Sunday inserts. It was the kind my hubby liked so I bought 20 of them at $1 each. They were sold out in every store in my area and I didn't get to use any of them. So, I lost out on $20, but that is not the trader's fault. 17|1|I agree, with the others NO REFUND required. |dlpavitt|dlpavitt@att.net|06:08:36|03/06/2014|

If you are a HONEST trader, there is nothing to fear in having a feedback link. If you do not have one, please set one up, BEFORE contacting me for a trade. If you insist on not having a feedback link, please do not contact me to trade. Feedback links protect all of us, on RS. Thanks for understanding. when you trade for codes. you can say you are not responsible for any reject letter if they get from any company that you do not owe them. they take risk or lucky to get deal back or fail at their risk.

i do not have paypal.
