im nervous i dropped my landline got home talk basic so far its ok they are switching my old number over if that goes smoothly then everthing will be good the home talk line is really clear sounds just like a real phone and i hardly ever use my landline anyway anyone else have home talk basic anything bad i should know lol

Do you have cell phones as back up if the power goes out? That is the only drawback that I could see with the Basic Talk is the fact that it would not work during a power outage. 1- If your internet goes out, you do not have a phone.. I have a tracphone for backup
2- If the electricity goes out, you do not have a phone, again I have the tracphone for that
3- If you have to punch in ALOT of numbers, like more than 3 (Credit card #, RX #, Access card #, Etc, it does not recognize the numbers) I use my tracphone when I need to do that
I have had basic talk for 6 months now and absolutely love it.. no problems.. clear call quality.. only thing you need is a 6.0 gh phone for the best call quality so nothing interferes with it!! Cant beat it for $12 and change a month!! If anyone has any questions about it, please feel free to contact me!!

Very clear kept my old number took about week to switch it over still had old number and new number to use I was without internet and phone for 1 day because at and t had to come out and do something to a box to re port my phone for Stan alone sls..it will cut my nil in half..I hardly use phone unless I'm calling home to check on kids ..My in laws are always right next door with landline and cell and I have a cell phone for backup too so far I would recommend it to anyone
