I am having a huge issue with ebay over an item I purchased. Long story short, neither ebay or the seller will just refund me the money, so I have to send back a defective chair that has now been assembled & because it is defective cannot be unassembled. I looked on line & can only find them in groups of 5 or 10 or so. I just want to buy 1 box. They usually have big boxes left over from stoves, washers/dryers, deep freezer, refrigerators, etc. that they have for sale on display.
Or even a Walmart should have some big, empty boxes from their display furniture.
I know of many people who get the empty banana & other produce boxes from the grocery stores around here for moving purposes. I realize a produce box would certainly not be big enough for a chair, but my point is the stores are usually more than happy to give away their empty boxes as it's less flattening & recycling for them to do. People just don't usually want such big boxes when moving.
Or you could check a recycling center......

I mailed a relatively light (10 pound) santa last year and because it was a few feet tall, it cost $80 parcel post to ship.

I paid $49.99 with free shipping. I think they should just refund me the money. I ordered a new one & it is fine. I sent pictures to show it is broken. I called ebay & talked to 3 different people over 40 minutes trying to convince them they just need to refund me the money. I don't know what else to do. I argued and finally got mad with the seller & ebay. Any other advice. They had a chair with Ebay Deals for an office chair for 49.99

They said there was no way for them to do it. I don't believe it! I think because they are a large store ebay sided with them. Ebay/paypal said I had to send it back to get refund. Spent over 40 minutes on phone talking to 3 different people. They say I have to return it if I want my money back.
