I always used them on my stove so it don't scratch it. Also try Mr Clean Eraser.

I think you buy it in auto department in blue gallon jugs and mix it with water,I also put liquid laundry soap with it its also great to pre-stain clothes,I have used it for years, also great to use when you wash your car it gets off all the bugs and other marks, for your stove spray it on heavy and let it sit a while, if they are really bad you may have to just buy new ones and make sure you wipe them out after every time you cook,I got a new stove last year and just made it a habit to clean the drip trays every time I cook even if you can't see anything sometimes its there 3|1|See info nside please....|Skaytes|skaytez@gmail.com|07:25:56|01/22/2014|

If they are really bad you can put them thru the dishwasher first...or hand soak them in very hot soapy water for a hour or longer...then use Barkeepers friend and a plastic scrubby pad to get the 'gunk' off them. Barkeepers Friend will not scratch surface at all either. I currently don't have the metal inserts under my burners but have in the past. I use BKF on my enamal surface under the grates and keeps the stove looking great! My current stove is 18yrs + but to look at it you can't tell that. Does a great job :) 4|1|Mr Clean Magic Erasers, all the way!!|noway|minalouwho@gmail.com|10:10:20|01/22/2014|

Take the pans off and soak in the sink. Soak in baking soda and vinegar. Rinse and with the warmest water you can stand, scrub with a magic eraser. And I agree that Barkeepers friend is very helpful in the scrubbing process. 5|1|Thanks for your input. I did the dishwasher, soaking etc. I just may have to clean each time I cook. are tiny spots that are burned on and around the rims, dark burned on spots. I even gried a tiny toothbrush. I did buy the SOS with soap. I know there are aluminum foil inserts so I will probably have to get those if I buy new metal inserts. This stove in the apt is very old. The burners themselves are hard to clean. The round middle of the burners is black prior to moving in here. 6|2|If this is any help, I moved out of an apartment last summer.....|noway|minalouwho@gmail.com|00:54:25|01/23/2014|

And the landlord stipulated that we leave the apartment with fresh metal things under the burners. So we got a 4 pack at Walmart for around 11 dollars, and they have customizable sizes, so that's not too expensive if replacing seems like a good option. 7|3|I am thinking of doing that. I will have to clean those after cooking to keep those looking nice it seems.|lv2qpon|jcummins1@rochester.rr.com|16:14:19|01/23/2014|
