Has anyone traveled to Bahamas to a time share for vacation? I am going in April and was told food is very expensive. Whats the best way to go about it. Does it pay to bring food to cook there? Will food get through customs? Are there places there that easier to just purchase Any deals on restaurants? Looking for easiest and cheapest way to do this but don't want the vacation to turn into a hassel
Thanks 1|1|No you cannot take food wont pass thru customs.....|melpaul|Melpaul199@aol.com|10:41:30|01/16/2014|

In a cooler and it went through customs just fine. Definitely check with the place you're staying to see what current regulations are in Nassau. 2|1|Link inside:|littlewolf|CCsuterlab@aol.com|13:26:09|01/16/2014|

It is a few years old BUT thought I would post it just in case.

And here is another one:

Also, if you are going to be staying at a time share, why not contact their office to see what is allowed to be brought into the country? They should have a list for you OR can guide you in the right direction.

http://www.bahamas.gov.bs ..might find information here as well OR places to contact... 4|1|Liz, if you eat where the local eat and shop you find prices a lot cheaper. I'm sure you'll be|flapper|joyphalen@yahoo.com|17:05:20|01/16/2014|

renting a car, get out of the tourist shops etc area and get back into the interior. They have supermarkets you can shop in. And restaurants, just stay out of
the tourist areas. Everything is much more expensive. But where the cruise ships come in there are a lot of restaurants that have good food. We've been there many times on cruise ships and we
stayed there on our own for a week a couple of times. As long as you get back to where the locals are, you will okay. It's safe to go out a night. People there are really
nice. And no you cannot bring in or take out any food, fruits or plants through customs. They do check your bags going in and coming out of Nassau.

The morning sun is the tanning sun and the afternoon sun is the burning sun. You can burn very easily and please use a lot of sun tan lotion. Believe me
you will burn without it. It's not like our sun even though it's the same sun
