My little sheltie Casey passed away during the night. She was 15 years old. Woke up and found her one the blanket not breathing. Have to deal with her body once anything is open. And we got a bunch of snow during the night, snow emergencies all over, not sure if the vet will even be open.

My wonderful cat had cancer and I had to put her to sleep, I cried for weeks I lost my best friend.
She was 19 but she was with me longer than my kids or my ex, she was my family.
I will always miss her.

My little one will be 14 in the spring, & she has an enlarged heart (she's on meds for it), so I know that dreadful day will be coming soon enough. I cry just thinking about losing her so I try not to think about it & just lavish as much love & attention on her as I can. She's still a little spitfire tho & likes to tear arse around the house. LOL You wouldn't think anything is wrong w/her except for a cough she has sometimes, so the meds are doing their job altho I know they won't be able to sustain her forever. :(
