It snowed here last night & it's snowing again now. I've always wished for snow on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day so this is just beautiful! :)

does the defender have virus protection?
I took windows care one off my 80 year old moms computer because it was making her crazy popping up all the time and not downloading
(I think they wanted money)
I tried a bunch of times but just made it uninstall, it told me no yesterday, lol
so it turns out that's all I had to do to make defender work, but it says it has no virus protection while also saying it has malware and spyware detection. Is this just another microsoft gambit to get her to buy software protection?
If so how are they allowed to get away with this?
