1|1|Try pushing and pulling the actual lock stem up and down with the door open.|Jorainna|jorainna@aol.com|11:50:34|12/11/2013|
Then shut it rather firmly. That got mine to close and lock for me. I have no heat in my car so am having all sorts of fits with locks and fogging over. When it's below 20 degrees, I even have the little light on saying I have a door open. I figure it's just the locks triggering it.

4|1|You can also spray a little...|inthesticks|jbsimon@ymail.com|11:05:08|12/12/2013|
...WD40 into the locks (or on your car key before putting it into the locks). The oil from the WD40 will keep locks from freezing, without damaging the key or the locks. 5|2|its the door latch not the keyhole :( and its power locks |gwens29|gwen41539@bellsouth.net|15:00:40|12/12/2013|

8|1|Here's a possible solution ...|BUCKINCRAZEE|Redhat105@Hotmail.com|16:30:17|12/12/2013|
The latch on your car door is likely freezing up on you in the "closed/down" position.
** This happens usually because of extreme cold, corrosion (rust), and sometimes dirt.
SOLUTION: Clean the latch really well. (The latch is found on the side of your car's door).
After you've gotten it really clean and opening and closing (working properly), the best lubricant to use is good quality VASELINE !!
Vaseline (yep, the one in your medicine cabinet) will not freeze on you and it lasts a very very long time.
Use that and be fairly generous with it. Your door should then open and close just fine. HTH.
