last time I was at dr...he done a fasting blood sugar ck.......said my sugar was running a bit high..and to start watching

what I eat...so I took it upon myself to start checking it almost every morning before I eat or drink coffee or anything.

I have noticed.....if I stick to my sugarfree diet...my bloodsugar runs..high..the highest its been is like 157.......sometimes

I get the urge and I eat something sweet....next morning my blood sugar will be .....101,,91,,,97...ect..........

why would my blood sugar be nearer the normal range when I eat sugar and be hi when I don't???? 1|1|you may want to consider not consuming artificial sweeteners...|noway|minalouwho@gmail.com|07:52:05|11/13/2013|

A lot of times things like nutrasweet, splenda, etc can do screwy things with your blood sugar and cravings. 2|1|doesnt make sense to me (M)|gwens29|gwen41539@bellsouth.net|08:22:12|11/13/2013|

im diabetic been so for 10+ years and sugar always raises blood sugar it doesnt lower it...my advice to you is to avoid sugar if u know u are having blood sugar issues dont eat cake and things that mess with it..watch your sugar content constantly and if u do eat cake dont eat it before bed it could cause u have a huge rise in blood sugar and send you in diabetic coma you dont want that...NOW saying that i do have good control of mine blood sugar but im not a saint i eat things everyday that arent good for me but i try hard not too go over board and splurge and binge on them all at once..if you can control your with a diet you should do so as long as you can... diabetes is a diease that attacks the whole body it will eventually kill you if you dont control it well enough and sometimes no matter what some people cant control theirs it a serious diease a lot of people take it lighly because so many people have it..i would talk to my dr and see a dietician if u cant afford to see one go to the local health dept you can see one there for free or at a very low cost I hope u dont think im bashing you im trying to help u..

ive always ate what I wanted too......last yr..another dr told me that I was border line...so I cut out my

sugar habit.....by probably 90% ..every once in awhile I would eat something....and im a heavy coffee drinker and I use

French van coffeemate...which I switched to sugar free........I lost like 20 pds.......everything was back to normal

but when I had it checked about month and half ago..it was back up.....they said to just watch it and we would talk about it when

I go back..so like I said I took it upon myself to start checking it.......and I noticed...if I don't eat anything sweet...bread..ect.....next day I get up and my sugar will be like ...147......but I swear I can sit down and eat a slice

of pecan pie.....today and tomorrow morning my sugar will be like 99..101.....it makes no sence........ 4|1|Carbohydrates are the main kind of food that raises blood sugar levels|oakridge32|hammer_1116@yahoo.com|10:42:27|11/13/2013|

Keep the carbs as low as possible. Diabetics need small amounts of food frequently - going hungry will spike your sugar levels. 6|1|Consuming Splenda/Equal artificial sweeteners...|Sharon|sforshee@hughes.net|12:18:28|11/13/2013|

will cause you to crave more carbs, sweet foods. It happened to me years ago as I was trying to lose weight, only I was more hungry and gained weight! I've since then been consuming stevia, xylitol as my sweeteners. I would also suggest to stay away from high carbs (converts to sugar) and eat more good fats - coconut oil/butter/whole milk dairy/cheese, nuts/seeds, and you will feel satiated longer between meals. HTH, Sharon:)
