4 0|0|I have a question -- H&B items VERSUS Food Items (inside)|SandyC|sacoates1@msn.com|19:58:20|09/15/2013|

When you go to store (Walmart, for instance) and buy a bunch of health & beauty items AND a bunch of food items, do you make sure H&B items are put in separate bags from food items?

Oh, that is not even my real question -- this is:

When people have auctions, for instance, does it bother you when they have a bunch of H&B items and a bunch (or a few) food items, all to be mailed together? I'd hate to receive gum and candy in same envie or box as bar soap and body wash or shampoo.

I remember several years back (in general, not here) when people were mailing items to our troops in Iraq, etc., they stressed not to send food and h&b items together...which made perfect sense to me.

I sure don't want to offend anyone but just wondered other people's thoughts.

There have been quite a few auctions on here that I did not even bid on because I did not want a scented candle in the same box as the gum, or whatever.

I Ziploc the food and the smellies separately......have not had anyone tell me anything crossed smelled(is that such a thing)....I do try to add things that are already in a sealed container(i.e. candle in glass jar with lid)....I agree with what you are saying about smells....but on that note....I sure wish people would disclose if they were smokers....that turns me off from trading with some people.... 4|3|As a non-smoker I can't agree more with stating (smoking or Non-smoking) home|bluh2oeyes|bluh2oeyes@yahoo.com|07:13:03|09/16/2013|

I'd personally rather deal with food and HBA in the same box more so than items from a smokers or pet home.

Being someone who is very sensitive to certain things like smoke smell and pet(mostly dog) smells I'd rather deal with the food/HBA issue than smoke/pet smell which actually makes me sick with a migraine.

But back to your original comment it is nice if they pack/wrap so one doesn't affect the other if food is mixed with HBA. Another thing is closing it up last minute and shipping it out quickly plus unpacking it quickly upon arrival like someone else stated.

Never had food contaminated by HBA. Most of the experienced traders will bag anything that might leak or the scented items. The majority of the boxes arrive in 2-3 days and I unpack immediately.
