I am trying to get something cheaper and looking around, I don't want to sign a contract with any of them just went thru that and don't want to be like that again, any tips about who to go thru 1|1|We got rid of twc. We decided to use my sons X-box360 on his room to stream TV and videos.

We already use our laptop for news and movies.

For 1 TV we have a digital converter for whatever local news we can get. With that will go either a roku
or an Apple TV box. Both have serious down sides but both are lots cheaper than cable. We just have
to change the way we watch TV AND watch less. These cable corporations are out of control. 2|2|We just got rid of Time Warner Cable too|maddysmom|scarlett13@new.rr.com|13:42:15|08/31/2013|

We still use them for internet but got rid of cable because it was soooo expensive. Ours was around $160 a month too just for cable and internet. We got a Roku box and subscribe to Netflix and Hulu. It takes a little getting used to but we're saving so much money it's worth it. 3|1|TWC is in a dispute with CBS, so...|inthesticks|jbsimon@ymail.com|05:58:51|09/01/2013|

...you won't get CBS programming. I dumped my satellite for Netflix. I have a free ROKU box that came with Windstream's long-distance and dsl. I merely pay $8.71/month for Netflix, in addition to the Windstream bill of $49. Although I still miss certain stations (like SyFi and AMC) I am happy with the setup I currently have. My wallet is also happy!
