We have a magic bullet....so we do them all the time.

Frozen fruit helps to not need ice and have the most flavor...

we do frozen strawberries (or mixed berries) with or without banana (DS loves banana, DD hates) then add juice (like orange or mango or apple) blend

We sometimes to them with yogurt in them...depending on the taste of whom we make them for.

DH likes them with apple...adds body more than flavor.

DS also likes frozen berries, some banana, splenda or sugar, and milk blend

DD likes frozen mango chunks in oj with sugar

Smoothies are EASY!!!!

What do your kids like?

Freeze your bananas into chunks- and use in lieu of ice when blending....it adds the thick texture you're seeking.

Bananas + any berries+ milk of choice

Bananas + peanut butter + chocolate milk

Bananas+ Frozen mixed fruit blend + milk of choice

Protein powder, chia or flax seeds, fruit juices, any frozen fruit blend, etc....can all be used. Smoothies are creativity in a glass! Coffee is also really good in smoothies...such as cooled coffee with chocolate milk and frozen banana is AMAZING! 4|2|Agree on the frozen bananas....|kylieM|kyliemurphy007@gmail.com|12:13:27|07/26/2013|

i do this regularly when drinking my protiens and sometimes if i want to bump up the calories then i simply add a lump of peanut butter and blend. Blender is a girl;s best friend!! 5|3|kylieM, you're new, so where are you from? Do you have any references from people or other boards?|maraj|maraj64@hotmail.com|16:12:47|07/26/2013|

3|1|I agree with the others, smoothies are about personal preferences, and trial and error. Google to get some basic recipes, and once you have the hang of it, twick them to your individual taste.|dlpavitt|dlpavitt@att.net|10:04:29|07/26/2013|

If you are a HONEST trader, there is nothing to fear in having a feedback link. If you do not have one, please set one up, BEFORE contacting me for a trade. If you insist on not having a feedback link, please do not contact me to trade. Feedback links protect all of us, on RS. Thanks for understanding. Donna 6|2|When strawberries are cheap...we buy lots and freeze them on cookie sheets for a couple hours....THEN bag them so they don't stick together. WAY cheaper than frozen ones at the store. We only freeze the almost too ripe bananas|Barb09|Barb0969@AOL.com|19:16:41|07/26/2013|

vanilla flavored greek yogurt & fresh strawberries. So the 1st ones we made were the yogurt, strawberries, a dash of milk & alittle sugar & they liked it, well then we ate the rest of the strawberries then days later they wanted another smoothie so I used the yogurt with alittle milk & chocolate syrup and they said it was YUCK!

So guess will have to stick with the strawberry one

We use 1/2 spinach ( I HATE spinach), but with the fruit you
can't taste it and it makes your drink so much healthier

Keeps your glucose in line!
