Ellie Wilson born on 6/28/13 and on 7/19/13 was diagnosed with multiple heart defects. She is the daughter of Kimberly Belcher and Jason Wilson. Granddaughter of Tony & Traci Belcher and Eugene and Donna Wilson. She is in UVA, PNIC unit. She is waiting to have multiple heart surgeries. She has been diagnosed with an Enlarged heart, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, Double Outlet Right Ventricle and Coarctation of the Aorta. What all this means is the Aorta is to narrow, the left bottom chanber of heart and valve did not form and the right bottom chamber of the heart is doing all the work. She has to have open heart surgery within the next week, another at 4 months old and then another at 3 years old if there is no complications. I'm asking for all the prayers we can get for her. She is so precious and so little.

They were told when she was born that she had an irregular heartbeat. No tests were done or anything. They took her see her doctors on schedule and it wasn't until the third week before her primary doctor said he was troubled by her heart sounds and sent her to a specialist that same day. She was starting to have trouble feeding and not gaining weight. Once at the specialist they realized the baby's condition and determined that at that hospital they did not have the resources to deal with all of Ellie's problems. She was put on a ventilator and then flown to UVA hospital.
Since that time a team of 9 doctors have been trying to get her body strong enough to do the 1st open heart surgery. The doctors believe she will be able to have the surgery this week.

GREAT NEWS THE GOOD LORD WAS WITH ELLIE THE DOCTORS SAID THAT THINGS WENT AMAZING WITH THE SURGERY. tHIS WAS THE MOST EXTENSIVE SURGERY EVER DONE AT UVA ON A INFANT. GOD IS SOOOO AWESOME. THEY ARE GOING TO WATCH HER FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS TO MAKE SURE NOTHING COMES UP. THANK YOU.... THANK YOU FOR ALL THE PRAYERS & KIND WORDS.
