I have a telephone interview regarding SNAP benefits tomarrow. Does anybody know what sort of questions they ask or what info I might need? On the letter they sent it says "Have these documents ready" and the box is empty. So what is common for them to ask for, what might I need?
I called the number on the form letter, but no one has gotten back to me yet and I just want to be prepared.

proof of income,SS numbers for everyone in the household,
electric or water bill to prove you live there.
Also if you have any receipts for medical,dental bring them.

copy of phone bill, copy of mortgage or rent pynt, documents on how much
you pay for renter's/homeowner's insurance, documents for how much you
have in savings/checking. Basically anything that you filled out on
your application "MAY" need to be verified.

it is to verify what you put on the application. So, both of the resonses above are correct. Many times these interviews only last 10 minutes. remember to provide proof. Here's a tid bit for you...If you rent and your utilities are included in your rent- have your landlord separate it out...example rent=$400.00 with utilities included. You will get A LOT less in foodstamps. However, if your landlord does this....Rent $400.00 and $50.00 of that goes to pay for heating and cooling expenses then you qualify for the utility allowance which at this time is roughly $325.00 which in turn can bring you more than $100.00 in foddstamps than you would normally receive.
Anyway, don't sweat the interview. It is to verify information and comments you might have. You can own one car per household and they don't count it as an assest. You cannot exceed $2000.00 in the bank. Whole life insurance counts as an assest-term life does not. You can roll the whole life into a prepaid burial fund and it will not count. there is other things as well, but for the basic interview-don't worry about it. 4|1|it is only a telephone interview, so they will just go over the application to make sure nothing has changed.. and they record you and at the end you must state that everything is true and correct to the best of your knowledge.. at least thats how mine was.. hopefully it is the same as for me.. im in PA|kandywolf|kandywolf@gmail.com|15:47:51|06/25/2013|
