Can you tell me the good, the bad, and the ugly about that area? <P>What is it like down there? <P>What is it like to use coupons/do rebates there?<P>The weather, bugs, people, crime, etc....? I have heard they are against people living together. My boyfriend and I have lived together for 17 years. <P>What is housing like - we'll need to rent for awhile - need housing for the two of us and one large well behaved dog. <P>Anything and everything you can think of I'd be interested in hearing. <P>Thanks!  <P>Vicki, NY

UNC-Charlotte <BR>is a nice school.

I have noticed that there are lot of NBPN rebates too! Are there any stores that double coupons? I'm spoiled by that up here. What grocery stores are there? Again, I'm spoiled by Wegmans up here. LOL

I looked it up and that looks like a fun place! I have never been a beach person. I have one pair of flip flops that I've worn for 10+ years. Our summer season is so short up here I don't need anymore than one pair! It would be nice to live in a warmer climate and have more sandals. :)<P>Does anyone garden? The downtown is very modern and compact.  There is some good eating in Charlotte and there is a monorail system of public transportation that will zip you from certain areas to downtown.

Check the websites that show crime by zip code. <BR>Be careful where you choose your house. It's hard to re- sell a house in Charlotte. <BR>We stayed in a beautiful Renaissance hotel in South Point and went house hunting<BR>over a long weekend and we decided against Charlotte altogether.
