SEE TO NEEDS AND REPAIRS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE !

Attention Renters;
realize your landlords have invested a good deal of money to make your home look like something they would like to live...so RESPECT it
make sure your children don't flush Barbie dolls, matchbox, socks, etc down the toilets that cause major clogs and cause us unnecessary expenses
just because you don't own it doesn't mean you should trash it. don't allow children to write on walls, or smoke like chimneys causing major yellowing and god awful odors
READ your lease agreement, make sure you understand that when it says YOU are responsible for shoveling out your driveway in winter, etc...that YOU do it and not call us at 4 am thinking it is OUR responsibility. renting doesn't absolve the renter from all responsibilities.
and finally ....PAY your rent ON TIME....understand that NOBODY lives for free, we don't live for free either...we must PAY on the dwelling YOU are residing in....not paying us in a timely fashion makes US behind in payments...and causing much stress and grief.

Years ago my DH and I went to look at a house out in the country that was for sale. It was winter and snow on the ground. We were early, the owner hadn't shown up yet and we walked around the house looking in the doors and windows, etc. We wondered why all of the windows were open in the middle of the winter. All of the carpet was piled up in the carport. When the owner came, she showed us the house. Seems that the previous renters were raising baby chickens and baby pigs in the house on the carpets, etc. The house was full of fleas and looks like the kids had written on every single wall in the house. If you have ever smelled chicken manure and pig manure, then you know what this house smelled like. Needless to say, we did not stay long and did not want to buy this house.

sadly, many of the offending renters are on Section 8 so now he will no longer rent to them. It's sad, but when you continually get burnt by people who just don't give a darn about someone else's property and who are virtually living for almost rent free, you stop taking the risk.
